A clean world is what we all want! The use of plastic as packaging material is increasingly being seen as undesirable—and rightfully so. Government regulations are also putting more pressure on reducing plastic use. Therefore, Refona has decided to replace its well-known bottle with the blue cap, which we use to package our Dutchy’s. We are switching to a fully recyclable cardboard tube. Cardboard is not completely airtight, which helps keep the material in perfect condition and ensures that the predatory mites will arrive at your place healthy and active. Storing them in this packaging for a few days is no problem, as long as you do so at around 10 degrees Celsius.

For shipping our packages, we already use as much recyclable material as possible. Instead of plastic tape, we use a paper alternative, and for packing material, we use biodegradable flakes that can be disposed of in the compost bin. In this way, we aim to take responsibility for the environment and continue to expand these efforts as much as possible.”
